

Grenada has been ranked the No. 2 Best Island in the Caribbean, Bermuda and The Bahamas in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2026, marking a major rise in one of the travel industry’s most respected reader-voted rankings.
The destination climbed from its No.12 ranking in 2025 to secure the second position in the regional category for 2026. Grenada was also named the No. 15 Best Island in the World, further reinforcing its growing international appeal among discerning travellers.
Senator the Honourable Adrian Thomas, Minister for Tourism, Creative Economy and Culture, said the recognition reflects Grenada’s continued progress as a globally competitive destination.
“This achievement is a powerful affirmation of Grenada’s global vision for tourism and the deliberate work being done to strengthen our destination product. As we continue to invest in product development, sustainability, cultural authenticity and service excellence, we are building a tourism sector that reflects the best of who we are as a people. Grenada’s rise in these rankings belongs to our tourism stakeholders, our communities and every Grenadian who helps shape the visitor experience through warmth, pride and hospitality.”
The Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards celebrate the top destinations, hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise lines and travel experiences around the world, based on the views and experiences of Travel + Leisure readers.
Stacey Liburd, Chief Executive Officer of the Grenada Tourism Authority, welcomed the recognition, stating,

Adding to Grenada’s success, Calabash Hotel was ranked No. 7 among the Best Caribbean Resorts, improving on its No. 8 ranking in 2025.
