Cricket legend Chris Gayle has added entrepreneur to his list of achievements with the launch of Chris Gayle Rich Rum. The exclusive debut took place on September 20 in St Ann, Jamaica, during his private 46th birthday celebration. Prime Minister Andrew Holness, celebrities, and close friends joined the “Universe Boss” for the occasion.

Guests raised their glasses with Rich Rum flowing throughout the night. The brand features three varieties: Overproof, Dark Rum, and Premium. Each blend reflects Jamaica’s rum-making tradition while offering bold new flavors for the global market.

Speaking about his vision, Gayle explained why Rich Rum stands out.

“Rich Rum is made in Lluidas Vale by our award-winning distillery partner. It is an authentic Jamaican copper pot still rum, crafted at a 100% Jamaican-owned facility. My goal was to create a premium-quality rum that tastes incredible but remains affordable,” he said.

He also noted that many competing brands are foreign-owned. By contrast, Rich Rum supports Jamaican ownership and highlights national pride.
