Matea Mahal Smith has secured the Miss Jamaica World 2026 crown, earning the opportunity to represent Jamaica on the international pageant stage after competing against 22 other contestants.
The 24-year-old aspiring doctor, who represented Miss Aveeno, claimed the national title during the grand coronation ceremony at the Karl Hendrickson Auditorium at Jamaica College in St Andrew on Sunday night.
Smith received the crown from outgoing Miss Jamaica World 2025, Neveah Allen, marking the beginning of her reign and preparations for the international competition.
The evening also determined Jamaica’s representatives for two other major international beauty competitions.
First runner-up Daniella Bullock, who competed under the Haven Beauty House sash, was awarded the Miss International Jamaica title.
Second runner-up Celine Walters, representing Miss Frazsiers Whip, was named Miss Earth Jamaica.
The three titleholders are expected to represent Jamaica at their respective international pageants in the coming months, providing another opportunity to showcase Jamaican talent on the global stage.
Smith entered the coronation with an early competitive advantage after winning the Fitness Fast Track challenge last month.
The achievement made her the first contestant in the 2026 competition to secure an automatic place among the Top 12 finalists.
Her success in the preliminary challenge was followed by her overall victory at the coronation, where she emerged as the winner from a field of 23 contestants.
With the national titles decided, attention now turns to the international competitions, where Smith, Bullock and Walters will each carry Jamaica’s flag.
Their upcoming participation will place Jamaica in the spotlight across three international pageant platforms, with each representative seeking to make her mark in her respective competition.
