In a move set to deepen economic connections and accelerate Caribbean-led innovation, business leaders from across the region are preparing to gather in Opera Delaware for a historic Caribbean business leadership summit, scheduled for June 7, 2025. In honor of Caribbean American Heritage Month, the first-ever Young Caribbean Professionals (YCP) Conference marks a milestone in transnational networking and strategy, which will bring together entrepreneurs, executives, U.S. university leaders, creatives, and policymakers to discuss the future of Caribbean enterprise in a globalized world.
Hosted by The Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce (CACCNE) in partnership with U.S.-based Caribbean business alliances and regional trade bodies, the summit aims to create lasting frameworks for collaboration between Caribbean-based businesses and their diaspora counterparts.
What to Expect
The summit will feature keynote speeches by Caribbean CEOs, government officials, and international investors, panel discussions on government, sustainable development, STEM, culture & arts, diaspora investment, and youth entrepreneurship, as well as consul generals & ambassadors from Jamaica, Haiti, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, The Bahamas and St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
According to the organizers, the goal is simple: empower Caribbean business owners to scale globally while preserving their unique cultural and economic identities.
“We believe in building bridges, not just businesses,” says one of the event’s lead coordinators. “This summit is about showing the world the strength, creativity, and resilience of Caribbean enterprise.”
With rising interest in Caribbean innovation- particularly in fintech, agribusiness, and sustainable tourism-this summit comes at a time when regional economies are looking outward, not just inward. It also offers a platform for young professionals and small business owners to gain access to new resources, markets, and partnerships.
For many attendees, Delaware isn’t just a location- it’s a launchpad. By the end of the summit, organizers hope to establish long-term programs and funding opportunities to support Caribbean ventures at home and abroad.
The Young Caribbean Professionals Conference, taking place June 7, 2025, is more than a meeting. It’s a movement- one that could reshape the business narrative of the region for generations to come.
