Sunrise Airways will expand its U.S. network this winter with new service to Fort Lauderdale starting December 15, 2025. The Haiti-based airline will connect Cap-Haïtien International Airport (CAP) and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The northbound flight, S6 612, leaves Cap-Haïtien at 10:00 a.m. and arrives in Fort Lauderdale at 12:00 p.m. Meanwhile, the return flight, S6 611, departs Fort Lauderdale at 1:15 p.m. and lands in Cap-Haïtien at 3:15 p.m. These midday departures offer travelers convenient timing for onward connections.
The route will use the airline’s Airbus A320. The aircraft features a single-class cabin with all-leather seats and space for up to 179 passengers. As a result, travelers can expect a simple and comfortable experience.
This new route becomes Sunrise Airways’ second destination in Florida. The carrier already operates daily Miami flights, launched in October 2023. With Fort Lauderdale now added, passengers gain another entry point into South Florida. Consequently, the airline continues to expand access for both leisure travelers and the Haitian diaspora.
The service will also support Cap-Haïtien’s role as an important northern gateway. The city offers deep cultural heritage, coastal attractions, and regional links. Therefore, the new flights help strengthen tourism access and essential travel between Haiti and the United States.
