Jeverson Elevates Grenada at CANEX 2025 and he did so in unforgettable style. Singer-songwriter Jeverson Ramirez proudly represented the island at the CANEX 2025 Mega Concert, lighting up the stage alongside Afrobeats superstar Wizkid and South African hitmaker Musa Keys. With this powerful appearance, Jeverson Elevates Grenada at CANEX 2025 and reinforces that Caribbean creativity continues to captivate international audiences
The CANEX Mega Concert, held during the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), attracted thousands of attendees. It celebrated the synergy between culture and commerce while giving artists like Jeverson the chance to showcase Grenada’s spirit through music. His set earned enthusiastic applause and underscored how Caribbean voices contribute to global cultural conversations.
Orlando Romain, Advisor to the Government of Grenada and CANEX Advisory Group member, called the moment historic:
“Jeverson is an exceptional talent, versatile, energetic, and a true ambassador for Caribbean creativity. I felt proud to watch him share the stage with global stars like Wizkid and Musa Keys.”
The Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) program, launched by Afreximbank, strengthens ties between Africa and the Caribbean by supporting creatives in music, film, and fashion. Grenada has also prioritized this mission at home. The government introduced 100% concessions for creatives and a $2 million development fund, of which $1.8 million has already gone toward supporting local talent.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell and Foreign Affairs Minister Joseph Andall traveled to Addis Ababa for the 2nd AU–CARICOM Summit, expanding Grenada’s diplomatic and cultural footprint in Africa.
Ultimately, Jeverson’s CANEX 2025 performance did more than entertain. It positioned Grenada as a cultural force, built bridges between continents, and elevated Caribbean identity on the world stage.
