

Curaçao records strong tourism growth in 2025, marking a standout year for the island’s travel and hospitality sector. New figures released on January 13, 2026 confirm that the destination welcomed a record 788,427 stayover visitors, highlighting its growing appeal across regional and international markets.
This total represents a 13 percent increase compared to 2024, with 88,185 additional stayover arrivals year-over-year. As a result, tourism officials pointed to Curaçao’s culture, diverse landscapes, and welcoming hospitality as key drivers of this sustained growth. In addition, strong collaboration between tourism partners and local communities continued to support the destination’s momentum.
Overall visitor arrivals also showed steady gains throughout the year. Between January and December 2025, Curaçao welcomed 788,427 stayover visitors, 44,243 day-trippers, and 881,665 cruise passengers. Together, these figures brought total arrivals to 1,714,335.
Notably, this marked a 9 percent increase in total arrivals compared to 2024. Meanwhile, Immigration Card data revealed that stayover visitors spent an average of 8.4 nights on the island. More than half of these travelers, approximately 56 percent, chose to stay at resort hotels, further strengthening the accommodation sector.
December 2025 proved to be a record-setting month for the destination. During the period, Curaçao welcomed 80,891 stayover visitors, the highest monthly total ever recorded. This figure reflected a 10 percent increase over December 2024.
According to tourism officials, strong performance from the Netherlands played a major role. At the same time, continued growth from the United States and Colombia added to the results.
The Netherlands remained Curaçao’s leading source market in December, accounting for 26,243 visitors. This represented a 4 percent year-over-year increase. On average, Dutch visitors stayed 13.7 nights, with most arrivals coming from South Holland, North Holland, and North Brabant.
Meanwhile, the United States ranked second with 20,423 stayover arrivals, reflecting a 7 percent increase compared to the previous year. American travelers stayed an average of 6.5 nights, with New York, Florida, and Georgia among the top source states.
Colombia placed third among source markets for the month. The island welcomed 6,902 Colombian visitors, marking a significant 29 percent increase year-over-year. These travelers stayed an average of seven nights, primarily arriving from Bogotá and Antioquia.
Overall, tourism officials said Curaçao’s 2025 performance underscores the success of sustained marketing efforts in key markets. It also reinforces the island’s positioning as a destination that invites visitors to truly “Feel it for yourself.”
