Trinidadian soca star Yung Bredda is taking his hit “The Greatest Bend Over” to new heights. He has teamed up with Grammy-nominated singer-producer Chlöe and Ghanaian sensation Moliy for a fiery remix, arriving Friday, August 15, via 0207 Def Jam and Polydor Label Group.
The track, produced by Full Blown on the infectious Big Links riddim, now features fresh verses, dynamic ad-libs, and tight harmonies from Chlöe and Moliy. Their contributions blend perfectly with the zess-driven soca beat. The release drops just ahead of Notting Hill Carnival (August 23–25) and comes with a vibrant music video. The visuals showcase carnival celebrations across the diaspora, including footage from St. Lucia Carnival, where Chlöe joined the festivities in July.
Chlöe, one-half of Chloe x Halle, has a strong connection to the Caribbean. Her 2024 album Trouble in Paradise took inspiration from her time in St. Lucia. Meanwhile, Moliy has been dominating global charts with “Shake It to the Max”, her dancehall-infused hit with Silent Addy and Disco Neil. The track’s remix with Shenseea and Skillibeng reached No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100, topped the U.S. Afrobeats Songs and World Digital Song Sales charts, and climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard Global 200.This collaboration follows Sean Paul’s recent remix of “The Greatest Bend Over,” adding another global name to the track’s journey. As a result, the song’s audience continues to grow far beyond the Caribbean.
Yung Bredda released the original version on December 2, 2024. It quickly stood out among other Big Links riddim tracks, such as Machel Montano’s “The Truth,” Kes’ “No Sweetness,” and Full Blown’s “Good Spirits.” The song gained early U.S. traction and appeared in Billboard’s “Trending Up” column. The single has already earned over 11.7 million official U.S. streams and 44.4 million global streams, according to Luminate. It also secured three Caribbean Music Awards nominations for August 28: Zess-Steam Artist of the Year, People’s Choice, and Soca Impact Award.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Chlöe shared: “I always loved this song, and I would sing it all the time. When I got asked to feature on it, I was excited because I already had a love for it.”
With carnival season in full swing, this remix unites the energy of Trinidad, the rhythm of Afrobeats, and the star power of global pop. Together, they have created a track ready to set dance floors and carnival routes alight.
